Welcome to Himalaya Carpet Industry Nepal. We specialize in handmade rugs from Nepal and hand-knotted wool rugs, crafted with care, tradition, and quality.
These Terms & Conditions govern the sale, production, and export of our Nepali hand-knotted carpets.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms
Effective Date
These Terms are valid from August 19, 2024, to August 18, 2026.
Orders
How to Place an Order
Custom rug orders can be placed conveniently through our website, via email, or directly with our sales team, who will be pleased to assist you throughout the process.Order Confirmation
Once your order has been received and reviewed, we will issue a detailed confirmation outlining the design specifications, pricing, and estimated delivery timeline. Production will proceed upon your approval of these details.Order Modifications
Any changes or adjustments must be submitted in writing prior to shipment. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, modifications may not be possible once production has advanced.Custom Creations
Each rug is individually handcrafted to order, resulting in a one-of-a-kind piece tailored specifically for you. Due to the custom bespoke nature of our work, all custom orders are final.
Payment Terms
To ensure a smooth and timely delivery process, full payment is required prior to shipment. Payments must be made via TT (Telegraphic Transfer) or bank wire transfer. Production and dispatch will commence once cleared funds have been received and confirmed. Kindly ensure all transfer details are accurate to avoid any delays in processing your order.
Currency: All prices are in U.S. Dollars (USD).
Additional Charges: Buyers are responsible for import duties, customs taxes, and fees in their country.
Shipping & Handling
We take great care in preparing and packaging your rug to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Orders are processed promptly, and delivery timelines will be confirmed at the time of purchase. Shipping costs and handling fees, where applicable, will be clearly outlined before checkout.
Returns & Refunds
Please note that all custom rug purchases are final. We carefully inspect every piece before dispatch. Returns are only accepted in the rare event that your carpet has a verified manufacturing defect.
If a return is approved, the customer is responsible for arranging and covering the cost of safe packaging and return shipping.
To ensure your rights are fully protected, we kindly ask that any defect be reported to us (clear photos / videos of the issues are acceptable) as soon as possible after delivery. Prompt notification allows us to resolve the matter quickly and efficiently.
Natural Creases & Fiber Shifts
Minor creases or slight fiber shifts may occur during shipping. This is completely normal and will naturally smooth out as the carpet relaxes after unrolling. Please note that such temporary imperfections are not considered defects and therefore do not qualify for a return. Your carpet will soon regain its beautiful and even appearance with regular use.
How to Smooth Your Carpet Creases:
Unroll and flatten: Spread your carpet in a spacious, open area to allow it to lay naturally.
Reverse roll technique: Roll the carpet in the opposite direction for a few hours to help relax stubborn folds.
Light pressure or gentle steaming: Apply a gentle weight or use low-heat steam on creased spots to restore a smooth, even surface.
These minor effects do not affect the quality of your handmade carpets from Nepal and are not grounds for refund or replacement.
Limitation of Liability
We take pride in the quality of our rugs and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If any issue arises, our responsibility is limited to the value of the product you purchased.
We are not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses, such as additional expenses or damages beyond the cost of the rug itself.
This policy helps us keep things clear and fair for everyone while continuing to provide beautifully crafted rugs.
Buyer Responsibilities
For international orders, buyers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, and local clearance fees required by their country. It is also the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local import regulations.
We recommend checking with your local customs office for detailed information prior to placing your order, as these charges and requirements vary by destination.
We are always happy to provide any necessary documentation to assist with a smooth delivery process.

We may occasionally update or revise these terms to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The most current version is always available on our official website and will apply to all orders placed after the update’s effective date.

Order Cancellations
At Himalaya Carpet Industry, we are committed to providing exceptional service and fulfilling every order with care. However, we reserve the right to decline or cancel an order prior to delivery if necessary, including in situations involving unforeseen circumstances, availability issues, or payment concerns.
Should a cancellation be required on our part, we will notify you promptly and work to resolve the matter transparently. The company will not be liable for any additional costs or expenses arising from such cancellation.
